This project explores virtual lighting control through DMX protocol within Unreal Engine. Using the built-in DMX plugin, I programmed sequences that simulate real-world lighting behavior—color shifts, intensity changes, rhythmic pulses—without connecting to physical fixtures.
The goal was to prototype a stage-like light environment driven entirely by code and cinematic triggers, laying the groundwork for future integration with physical lights via Art-Net or sACN.
By treating virtual light as both medium and message, the piece examines how stagecraft, atmosphere, and ritual can be constructed digitally in preparation for physical embodiment.
