Merleau-Ponty astutely suggests that the enigma of meaning exceeds the binary framework of being and presence, charting its ontological trajectory. Through his notion of reversibility, the visible and invisible are revealed not as opposites, but as co-constitutive dimensions of perception. Unlike Sartre’s ontology of being and nothingness, Merleau-Ponty does not frame the invisible as negation, but as an intrinsic stratum, subtly interwoven into the fabric of corporeality.

In engaging with this philosophical landscape, my own presence animates these concepts, granting them experiential texture and reflecting fragments of my lived essence.
